How Microsoft 365 licensing actually works
Three things to understand before you buy — from a Microsoft CSP partner.
Microsoft 365 is a construction set
Every plan is a bundle of service plans: Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, Purview and more. Two plans can look alike on a price list and differ radically inside — Office 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E3 share the same core, but only the latter adds Entra ID P1, Intune and Windows Enterprise.
Choosing by price alone = overpaying
Companies buy Microsoft 365 E5 for a handful of security features available as a cheaper add-on, or take Business Standard and then pay for third-party security that Business Premium already includes. Use the matrix and comparison above to see exactly what you pay for.
Validate your choice with a CSP
As a Microsoft CSP partner in Moldova, NQData licenses these plans directly — local invoicing, support in Romanian, Russian and English, and free help mapping your requirements to the exact SKU.
Not sure which plan fits?
